What is wrong incorrect erroneous with the X Factor?

The new show, the X Factor, which in fact had high ratings and unprecedented numbers of viewers, is clearly in difficulty. The amount of viewers for just one night alone in October 2011 represented almost 50% of all of the people watching television at this time. However, there has been a dramatic drop within the viewing audience – almost by A million viewers. What has caused this huge drop? It would appear that this is a case from the success of the show leading to its downfall.

Viewers need to see The X Factor – not ads

Using the huge number of viewers which are tuning directly into watch the show, the broadcaster designed a mistake in trying to cash in on the popularity. More and more advertisements were crammed into the time frame to ensure that viewers who watched the full show actually saw more advertising than contestants. It has been said that about the October 10 edition from the X Factor, there were seven minutes from the show and four minutes of advertising. Inside a show that lasted 150 minutes, 20% from it was adopted with advertising. The broadcaster definitely made money on this show and also the advertisers got their message out to more viewers, but what’s going to be the end result?

What about the loss of Simon Cowell?

Many suspected that the X Factor would experience a loss of revenue of viewers after the departure of Simon Cowell as one of the judges. At the outset of the season, Cowell said that being a judge about this show was the best move he’d ever made in the career. Things did not go as he planned, leaving many to wonder what is actually going on behind the scenes. The new judges on the show have proven to be a large hit with viewers, therefore the demise of Cowell did not seem to have the result that was suspected.

Comments by the judges affect the X Factor finalists

The judges were built with a hard time choosing the best of the best to stay on the X Factor. However, the comments made by Louis in that he chose to vote for the person the public would really like the best. Performs this mean he did not vote for whom he thought was best but only agreed to be trying to please the viewers – perhaps to maintain the viewers tuning in and thus keeping the ratings high. The options were not just based on one performance, which is a good thing because anyone can have an off-night. Instead the judges did go ahead and take previous performances into consideration.

It is a well-known proven fact that viewers detest ads that interrupt any show they are watching on television. This is certainly the case with TheXFactor and the fact that there were a lot of ads on this show leaves many to wonder if the purpose of the show is to present UK talent in order to make advertisers lots of money. Since a spokesman for that show asserted the ads were in keeping with the guidelines from the entertainment industry, it remains to be seen how it will affect the future of the X Factor.
